What is Review Process ?

The review process is a structured evaluation in which a manager or team leader assesses an employee’s achievements and progress towards their set goals. This process involves comparing the employee’s performance against established expectations, followed by providing constructive feedback. Typically conducted during an annual performance appraisal, the review is crucial for understanding each employee’s contribution to the organization’s overall objectives. For an effective performance appraisal, the manager must be clear about the job’s expectations, closely observe the employee’s performance, compare actual results to expectations, and measure how closely they align.

How HR teams use this term

HR teams usually use Review Process when they write policies, explain employee communication, review payroll or leave records, or keep employee data clean in an HRMS.
