What is Job Hopper?
A job hopper is an individual who frequently changes jobs within a short period. The tendency to switch between roles or companies quickly is referred to as job-hopping.
Job hoppers often leave a position due to dissatisfaction or in pursuit of better opportunities. While occasional changes in job roles are normal and can be beneficial for career growth, frequent transitions may raise concerns for employers. It can create the impression of instability and affect trust in a candidate’s long-term commitment to an organization.
In essence, job-hopping is the practice of repeatedly moving from one job to another, which, when excessive, might negatively impact a candidate’s professional reputation.

HR teams usually use Job Hopper when they write policies, explain employee communication, review payroll or leave records, or keep employee data clean in an HRMS.
