What is Interview Panel ?

An interview panel is a group of individuals responsible for conducting an interview. Typically, the panel consists of interviewers from different departments or areas of expertise to ensure a well-rounded assessment of the candidate. They ask questions related to the job role and collectively decide on the candidate’s suitability for the position. The primary benefit of an interview panel is that it eliminates the need for multiple rounds of interviews by allowing different perspectives to be gathered in a single session. Each interviewer evaluates the candidate based on their specific area of expertise.

How HR teams use this term

HR teams usually use Interview Panel when they write policies, explain employee communication, review payroll or leave records, or keep employee data clean in an HRMS.
